1. About GroceryList
- GroceryList is an online platform that connects customers with local stores in Jamaica to shop for groceries and essentials for their families.
- We facilitate order placement and delivery but do not own, operate, or control the stores, products, or pricing.
- GroceryList acts as a service provider partnering with stores to bring you convenience and timely delivery.
2. Service Limitations
- Pricing and Availability: Prices, promotions, and availability are set by stores, not GroceryList. Final prices may vary from checkout estimates.
- Product Quality: GroceryList is not responsible for the quality, freshness, or condition of items purchased.
- Item Substitutions: Substitutions may be made at the shopper’s discretion unless specified otherwise.
- Receipts and Charges: Final receipts may include store pricing, taxes, and service fees.
3. Order Placement and Payment
- Order Confirmation: Orders are processed with selected stores, subject to their policies.
- Payment Methods: Payments can be made via credit/debit cards, PayPal, Klarna, Afterpay, and other supported methods.
- Final Charges: Checkout totals are estimates, and final charges may vary based on store adjustments.
4. Refunds and Disputes
- Refund Requests: Refunds are issued only for undelivered or incorrect items reported within 24 hours.
- Disputes: Pricing or product quality issues must be addressed with the store.
- Investigation Period: Refunds, if applicable, may take 7–10 business days.
- Fraud Prevention: GroceryList uses security tools to detect fraud, and verification may be required for disputes.
5. Delivery and Pickup Policy
Delivery:
- Timeframes: Most deliveries are completed within 1 hour, depending on location.
- Fees: Delivery fees are based on distance, and additional fees may apply for extended areas.
- Failed Deliveries: Incorrect addresses or recipient unavailability may result in rescheduling or cancellation without refunds.
- Confirmation: Valid ID and signatures may be required upon delivery.
Pickup:
- Pickup orders require valid ID and order confirmation numbers.
- Customers must notify us in advance if someone else will collect the order.
- A $10 fee applies for pickup orders delayed when a shopper is already in-store.
6. Liability and Limitations
- Limited Liability: GroceryList is not liable for damages, losses, or issues arising from store policies, pricing errors, or product quality.
- Third-Party Responsibility: Concerns about pricing or availability must be directed to the store.
7. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate delivery addresses, contact details, and payment methods.
- Specify substitution preferences during checkout.
- Report issues within 24 hours and protect account credentials.
8. Platform Use
- GroceryList is for personal use only. Commercial or resale use is prohibited.
- Users must comply with applicable laws and GroceryList policies.
9. Amendments
GroceryList reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
