Delivery and Pickup Policy

At GroceryList, we strive to provide reliable and convenient delivery and pickup services to meet your needs. Below are the terms and conditions governing these services:

1. Delivery Policy

a. Delivery Timeframes

  • We offer one-hour delivery for most orders, depending on location and item availability.
  • Delivery windows may vary based on order volume, weather conditions, and store processing times.

b. Delivery Locations

  • GroceryList provides delivery services to specified areas across Jamaica. Enter your delivery address during checkout to verify service availability.

c. Delivery Fees

  • Delivery fees are calculated based on location, distance, and order size. Fees will be displayed at checkout.
  • Some promotions may offer free or discounted delivery based on order thresholds or payment methods.

d. Additional Charges for Extended Radius

  • For addresses outside the standard 5 to 10-mile radius, an additional delivery fee of $12 will apply.

e. Failed Delivery Attempts

  • If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect address information, lack of recipient presence, or other customer-related issues, the order may be rescheduled for an additional fee or cancelled without a refund for perishable items.

f. Delivery Confirmation

  • Recipients must present a valid ID and/or sign for the order upon delivery.

g. Unforeseen Delays

  • While we aim for timely delivery, unforeseen challenges in logistics or human resources may occasionally cause delays.

h. GroceryList Shoppers Only

  • All shopping, packing, and payment for groceries are exclusively conducted by GroceryList Jamaica shoppers.

2. Pickup Policy

a. Pickup Locations

  • Orders can be picked up from participating stores or designated pickup points.

b. Pickup Timeframes

  • Orders will be ready within the selected time slot. A confirmation notification will be sent when your order is ready.

c. Pickup Instructions

  • Customers must bring a valid photo ID and their order confirmation number for verification.
  • If someone else is picking up the order, notify us in advance, and ensure they have the required documentation.

d. Delayed Pickup Fee

  • A $10 fee will apply to pickup orders that are delayed while the shopper is in-store. This ensures smooth operations and compensates for additional time spent by the shopper.

3. Order Accuracy

a. Substitutions

  • If an item is unavailable, you may choose to allow substitutions. Shoppers will select the closest alternative based on your preferences.

b. Order Verification

  • Verify your items at the time of delivery or pickup. Any discrepancies must be reported within 24 hours to qualify for a resolution.

4. Limitations

a. Weight and Size Restrictions

  • Large or bulk orders may require additional time or fees for delivery.

b. Hazardous Conditions

  • Deliveries may be delayed or rescheduled due to severe weather or unsafe conditions.

5. Store-Specific Policies

GroceryList serves as a platform connecting customers to local stores. We do not control individual store policies, including item availability or pricing.

6. Changes to This Policy

GroceryList reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Updates will be communicated via our website or app.
